Flop 2011 Flop is a two part installation consisting of a game and a somewhat obscurely installed projected floppy disk. The game is programmed for a Nintendo DS and consists mostly of musings about some lost item - probably a floppy disk. The player moves about a floppy disk while searching through other floppy disks, never really sure what they're searching for. The game is an endless loop. See it here on vimeo

 Women from horror movies edited so they appear to dance to Bill Munroe's blue grass tunes. This work explores ideas around matrimony, archetypes and closure of past relationships and institutions. Shown in conjunction with two dancers - Neesa Kenemy & Meredith Thompson at LabCab Festival. goodbye cruel world a short goodbye before destruction  gameover zombientation in ascii on a white backround. ascii letters disappear and the meanings along with it.  contraband numbers - the HD DVD processing key that allows people to decrypt and watch HD DVD content. these hexadecimal numbers when posted on the web have been causing people to have their sites shut down. Many people responded by making videos, posting it wherever they could, writing it on sidewalks, paper - everywhere. mine is only one of many millions of incarnations  is it a weapon or is mary poppins gone A.W.O.L? the sombrella - an umbrella on a microphonoe stand spins one way then reverses itself repeatedly. prototype built during Paved Arts Residency.  portraits of family members on gameboys with interactive haikus  two hats with baby monitors embedded in them - with long cables - plugged into the wall.  a cold war era red suitcase with ticking timer embedded ticks away, as well as a metronome in encased in a metal box. turn the ticker, and you will hear a sweet accordian lullabye en francais: dors dors petit enfant emmanating from a Klaxon emergency loudspeaker. when the time runs out - the metronome starts again.  5 giant paper fabricated wheat weevils with tiny motors,infest and dig in a mason jar filled with wheat kernels. touch the jar -a sensed intrusion - the motion is frozen.  an iron controls image of my great grandmother and her son who died in Burma in WWII. As the iron is moved around - the image of my grandfather (infant) disappears and reappears. 2 single channel videos played side by side. one containing 54 canadian soldiers names who died in Afghanistan & the other over 4000 Civilians names from Afghanistan who died in a 4 year span.  a futile attempt at locating friends through the terminal  exploring the sh command and the desire for calm  exploring the built in terminal commands and their potential social meanings  thoughts and scripts run as visual poems wondering about existence  take a ride on a salmon through the wilds of suburbia zombienation gameover screen video fluttering paper moths and motors mario starts his game and gets stuck at a roadblock mario games grouped together as a trilogy large wireball - ongoing accumulated power cables while I was working as an IT Technician at the Ontario College of Art & Design part 1 of the Loser Series: a mothers struggle for balance as well as the game controller giant yarn ball controlls behaviour & flight of moth  gameover screens printed on canvas posters around Seoul,Korea hacked video game: swims around and runs out of air hacked video game: mario trapped behind walls doing time interactive phone & video installation using ringdown circuit, microcontrollers, video & max/msp a hacked video game rom that people can play  php scripted web entity (note: site no longer active, only main page archive) embroidered wall socket cosies communication device to interact with "Rotting Grapefruits" interactive chair/sink/sound installation at Deadtech Gallery in Chicago interactive talking wall socket xylophone  interactive wall socket/sound installation  collaborative sound piece using electromagnetic signals from office computers & am/fm radio interactive wall sockets & video installation in which the children in a photograph disappear  interactive talking wall sockets  interactive talking wall sockets  interactive rabbit with embroidered resistors and photocell in eye inside suitcase + sounds I've got a new heart video edit mix of cartoons, plundered sounds and myself clear plastic clothing with implanted digital voice recorders  modified toy rabbit from my childhood modified chemical paper suit bunny in space suit/diving suit with water bubbling around inside it's head, powered by aquarium pump, attached to a sink chaos star to interact with to hear poetry composed randomly from collection of themed words contrasting intimacy and technology bunny encased in sheet plastic emitting sound from it's eyes pixel love website circa 1996 you feel so good metal bed, pillow, video with deep voice saying: you feel so good modified toy car & fabricated mutant bunny - voice activated with 3 commands. requires yelling trapeze powered by electro magnets, video loop mechanical interactive examination bed speed relative talking bicycle wheel space helmet with radio disruption device, rubber satellite dish with radio two sock bunnies that plug into the wall and are curled up together spooning  painting of rabbit plugged in two paintings of children. one with wall socket one with exit sign |
