Teaching is taking up alot of time so I have been slack on updating this site. I'm teaching two courses this term and thoroughly enjoying it. I am also working on a project with a group of people towards a performance date of 2010. It's nice to have those far away deadlines. I've been working on some Gameboy poetry and have added some of the prototypes to my portfolio. I haven't got the text and font formatting right in the works but thought I'd put them out there. I was invited by Jim Munroe (nomediakings.org) (nomediakings.org) to do a little demo of these poems at Canzine in the Artcade room in the fall. It was fun. Michael Sharpe and I have been also working on a Google Earth related project. We'll be putting up some documentation soon. It's in progress still as well. We've been involving people we know in helping us fabricate the work in kind of collective afternoon work parties.

We're actively seeking other funding to fully realize this project. I'm mostly in the studio these days as I have received a fair bit of funding and now am in production mode - which is in my opinion the most exciting mode to be in.

This is my new site. I left my job as a technician at OCAD after 8 years to further my art career and so far so good. I managed to scoop up a part time teaching gig at Ryerson University and have had quite a few projects on the go ever since. I am loving my new life - myfanwy version 2.1Most recent News:In March 2007 - a group of us - including composers, dancers, singers, and visual artists received a Canada Council Inter-Arts grant to work with high school students, and war veterans to critically engage with issues around past wars and current conflicts. In May - June 2007 - I was privileged to be granted an artist research and prototype building residency at PAVED Arts (http://pavedarts.ca/) - a media arts centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In September 2007 I worked with Neesa Kenemy and Meredith Thompson who choregraphed a dance piece in conjunction with my video piece for LabCab Festival at the Factory Theatre in Toronto. In October 2007 the Mario Trilogy will be shown as a single channel video dump at the London Games Fringe Festival, (http://www.londongamesfringe.com/) London UK - curated by HTTP, the gallery arm of online arts group a href= furtherfield.org >Furtherfield. Last year mario battle no.1 (year01.com/mario) was curated into this festival as well - by Cybersalon. (cybersalon.org)And finally I am currently working in my studio on some new works - as I received an Ontario Arts Council Mid Career grant in August. (w00t)
